New Mexico Archery Elk Hunts

New Mexico Archery Elk Hunts

Intro text

The month of September is a magical time in the mountains of New Mexico. As the elk rut draws near, bachelor groups of bulls will disperse and start roaming the country looking for herds of cow elk. This pre-rut phase is a great time to ambush a huge trophy bull. Herd bulls in our premium quality units will often gather harems of up to 50 cows by the time the rut hits full swing. Expect to hear elk bugling and to see big bulls up close and personal on these premium archery elk hunts. We are often able to call bulls in under 40 yds. Shooting opportunity has been 90% over the last 10 seasons. Hunters should arrive in good shape and ready to walk up to several miles each day.
